Booking a cruise is more complicated than booking a hotel room, a dinner reservation, show tickets, or ferry tickets. In fact, it can feel very much like booking all of those things at once. Complicating matters is that some terms can mean something totally different at sea than on land when it comes to selecting the right cabin. And while cruise rates do cover things like meals and entertainment, you could find yourself racking up charges in your shipboard account ... maybe a lot more than you expected.
