Curtis Stone Unveils SHARE On Ruby Princess

by  Kristen Boatright | Feb 8, 2016

Curtis Stone is the latest celebrity chef to take his talents to the high seas with his new concept, SHARE, now open on Ruby Princess and Emerald PrincessThe 80-seat restaurants are Stone’s first at sea, and SHARE will also be rolled out on Coral Princess and Sun Princess.

True to its name, SHARE does have some communal tables, but the dishes aren't served family style and sharing isn’t mandatory. The idea, says Stone, is that each diner orders a few dishes to share with their companions. A small charcuterie platter and chicken liver parfait kick off the meal, and diners can order their own appetizer, main, side, and dessert. Stone’s favorite dish is the twice-cooked duck, while other menu highlights include butter-poached lobster, fresh pastas (cavatelli and tagliatelle, both handmade on board), roast turbot gratiné, and ricotta fritters for dessert.

The space itself is warm and inviting; family photos and framed recipes line the walls and Stone’s cookbooks and travel souvenirs sit in decorative curios.

"A restaurant has an intangible thing, which is like an energy that you feel when you walk into it," says Stone. "It’s not how it looks, it’s how it feels. And I love the feeling when you walk in here."

The Details: SHARE is open for dinner and has a $39 cover charge.
