There are a lot of options on Royal Caribbean’s 4,074-passenger Allure of the Seas, which launched in late 2010. Like on its sister ship, Oasis of the Seas, you'll find seven distinct neighborhoods to explore and 16 decks of action-packed activities, entertainment, and restaurant choices to keep you busy while at sea.

With a ship the size of Allure of the Seas, it can be daunting to pick among the 30-plus stateroom categories on board — and that's where we come in. Here, we break down each of the cabin categories in this Allure of the Seas deck plan, so you can choose your perfect fit.

Smaller Interior Stateroom: These 150-square-foot cabins on decks 6-14 won’t blow the budget — but note that Q category cabins are 140 square feet with no window.

Interior Stateroom: At 172 square feet, these cabins on decks 3 and 6-12 are similar in size to Ocean View Staterooms, but they have a mirror instead of a porthole.

Ocean View Stateroom: These 174-square-foot cabins are located forward on decks 3 and 7-11 and feature a large porthole.

Central Park View Stateroom: Wake up to tree views, even on sea days, in these 194-square-foot midship cabins, which overlook open-air Central Park from deck 9.

Central Park View Stateroom with Balcony: Couples will enjoy the special EAT. DRINK. PLAY perks that come with these 182-square-foot cabins, such as complimentary red wine upon arrival, lunch for two at Giovanni’s Table, and private casino lessons. Located midship on decks 10-14, these cabins also have 50-square-foot balconies overlooking Central Park.

Boardwalk View Stateroom: When you’re not riding the ship's carousel or zip line yourself, enjoy watching others on them from the bay window of one of these 187-square-foot cabins located aft on deck 7.

Boardwalk View Stateroom with Balcony: With a 47-square-foot balcony overlooking the family-friendly Boardwalk, these 182-square-foot cabins aft on decks 8-14 include EAT. DRINK. PLAY amenities for up to four people. Enjoy perks such as complimentary food at Johnny Rockets, an unlimited soft drink package for two, and an exclusive rock-climbing session.

Promenade Stateroom: These 193-square-foot cabins on deck 7 showcase a bay window overlooking the Royal Promenade — ideal for people watching.

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony: Delight in breezes and sea views from the 53- to 80-square-foot balcony of these 182-square-foot cabins on decks 6-14. Choose a forward or midship cabin for easy elevator access.

Junior Suite with Balcony: At 287 square feet with a 78-square-foot balcony, these midship staterooms on decks 6-14 sleep up to five. Like all suites on board, these cabins have Royal Suite Class benefits, such as complimentary drinks, dining, and high-speed internet.

Royal Family Suite with Balcony: These 575- to 589-square-foot suites on decks 10 and 12 midship sleep up to eight in two bedrooms (a master and one with two twins and two pullman beds) and on a sleeper sofa. The cabin also has a balcony measuring 237 to 246 square feet. 

Grand Suite with Balcony: Location matters in these four-person suites. Those on decks 11 and 12 span 433 feet with a massive 362-square-foot balcony; those midship on decks 6-9 measure 371 square feet with a 114-square-foot balcony; and those on deck 14 are 421 square feet, but with a 136-square-foot balcony.

Crown Loft Suite with Balcony: These 540-square-foot, urban loft-inspired suites on decks 17 and 18 sleep up to four and have an upstairs bedroom, a living room with a sofa bed, two bathrooms, and a 98-square-foot balcony.

One-Bedroom AquaTheater Suite with Balcony: Located aft on decks 11, 12, and 14, these suites overlook the open-air amphitheater and sleep up to four in configurations from 421 to 466 square feet with balconies of 136 to 470 square feet. The largest are on deck 11.

Owner’s Suite with Balcony: These 569-square-foot suites are located midship on decks 10, 11, and 14. They have a traditional side-by-side bedroom/living room layout, a bathroom with two sinks, a 246-square-foot balcony, and room for four.

Two-Bedroom AquaTheater Suite with Balcony: The massive wraparound balconies on these two-bedroom, two-bath, eight-person suites provide prime views of the open-air amphitheater and measure 803 square feet on deck 8. (The suite is 820 square feet). On deck 9, this same category balcony measures 695 square feet, while the suite is 739 square feet. And on deck 10, the balcony is 648 square feet with a 659-square-foot suite.

Sky Loft Suite with Balcony: At 724 square feet with a 376-square-foot balcony, these two-level, two-bath suites located midship on decks 17 and 18 are a roomy haven for up to four people. Both bathrooms have a large double shower.

Grand Loft Suite with Balcony: Sleeping four, these two-level, 914-square-foot suites located midship on deck 17 have a master bedroom and bath, and a 161-square-foot balcony with a whirlpool.

Owner’s Loft Suite with Balcony: At 1,075 square feet, these midship suites on deck 17 sleep four and include a master bedroom and bath, dining and entertainment area, sofa bed, guest bath, and 161-square-foot balcony with a whirlpool.

Royal Loft Suite with Balcony: The most impressive suite on the ship comes in at a whopping 1,524 square feet and is located midship on decks 17 and 18. In addition to a baby grand piano in the living room, up to six people can enjoy panoramic windows, a first-level bedroom and bath, and a second-floor master bedroom and bath. Our favorite feature? The 843-square-foot balcony, which has its own whirlpool and dining table.

Family Staterooms: Sleep a family of six in one cabin? It’s possible in a 260-square-foot Family Interior Stateroom, a 271-square-foot Family Ocean View Stateroom, or the aft-located Family Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony. This 290-square-foot cabin houses two twins or a king, a sleeper sofa, and two pullman beds, plus an 81-square-foot balcony.

Accessible Staterooms: Allure of the Seas' deck plan includes 46 cabins in eight categories designed for mobility-impaired passengers. Each stateroom has a roll-in shower, wider doors, and grab bars. They range from a 258-square-foot Accessible Interior Stateroom to a 540-square-foot Accessible Crown Loft Suite with a 98-square-foot balcony.
