Pick a Cabin: Crystal Mozart Deck Plan Decoder

by Kristen Boatright | October 02, 2016

The 154-passenger Crystal Mozart is the luxury brand’s first river ship. Originally built in 1987 and previously owned by Peter Deilmann Cruises, Mozart launched in July after a gut renovation.

Crystal Cruises ocean ships are known for all-inclusive amenities, attentive butler service, and opulent furnishings, and the line’s first foray into the river market is no different. Cruise fares include complimentary airport transfers, meals, beverages — cocktails, wine, beer, and soft drinks — gratuities, and guided shore excursions in every port.

While this is the largest passenger river ship in Europe, Mozart only has 80 staterooms in four different categories, making it an easy vessel on which to choose a cabin.

The lowest tier accommodation is the 219-square-foot "River Suite with Picture Window" on deck one. The furniture — a king-sized bed, seating area, desk, and vanity — is gorgeous, but it takes up a lot of space in these rooms, where space is at a premium.

A full-length, sliding window, described as a French balcony, is a welcome addition to the next three categories, starting with the 219-square-foot "Suite with French Balcony" on deck two. The 330-square-foot "Penthouse with French Balcony," which is also on deck two, comes with an extra sink and a full bathtub, as well as a walk-in closet.

Passengers with enough cash to stay in one of two Crystal Suites on board will find the 883-square-foot accommodations on deck two incredibly spacious. Each has two bedrooms with two en-suite bathrooms — the master with a double sink and full tub — plus separate living and dining areas and a marble LED fireplace.

Ready to set sail? To make it easier for you to choose the right suite for you, we’ve decoded the deck plans. Check out our video, above, for a guide to the ship’s accommodations.
