Celebrity Infinity

Our Ship Review
Deal Expert / Travel Blogger

It’s fairly easy to find your way around Celebrity Infinity, which owes its lasting appeal to its intimate size and cool itineraries. This Millennium-class ship holds 2,170 passengers and gives you the Celebrity Cruises experience at a reasonable price since it’s not exactly shiny and new — in fact, it’s the line's second-oldest ship. Infinity has been sailing since 2001 and was last refurbished in October 2015 during a refit that added a Tuscan Grille restaurant, a new lounge on Deck 12 with a large video screen, and updated designs throughout. As of late 2023, however, Infinity has not been “Revolutionized” with Edge Series details like its sister Millennium-class ships Millennium and Summit

What We Love

Cafe al Bacio and Gelateria: Cappuccinos cost extra, as does gelato, but the cozy space on Deck 5 also has a big selection of decadent sweet treats always available for free — cookies, cakes, and tarts, for example.

Oceanview Cafe: This ship lives up to the line's history of providing some of the best buffets at sea among the mass-market lines. You'll find carving stations, multiple salads, a pasta station, sushi, made-to-order omelets, and pizza until midnight.

Best Known For

Michael's Club: The special hangout for Celebrity Infinity suite passengers and for those with high-level loyalty club status is a fine place to chill out. Mingle with other cruisers and enjoy complimentary cocktails and concierge service. Suite-level passengers also get access to the exclusive Luminae restaurant.

Thalassotherapy Pool: This spa pool in the Solarium adults-only area contains submerged metal rollers to sit on, and four giant shower heads in the corners, to help treat your muscles.

Le Petit Chef: The specialty dining experience (for an added fee) delivers a combination of entertainment and elevated cuisine with tabletop animations as guests enjoy a four-course menu featuring everything from burrata salad and bouillabaisse to steak and lobster.

Who It's Best For

Sun-Seeking Couples: The ship sails the Mediterranean, Greek Islands, and Canary Islands year-round, so it’s ideal for couples who love to explore sun-splashed island playgrounds on a cruise that won’t bust their budget

Don't Say We Didn't Warn You

It's Smaller Than Most Celebrity Vessels: Space is limited in the spa and fitness centers, and these areas feel much more cramped than they do on Celebrity’s newer megaships. Infinity's three pools are smallish, and while you'll find plenty of loungers — including some with comfy cushions — they get claimed quickly on hot days.

Expect Limited Activities: Onboard activities lack variety, and trivia contests and art auctions account for much of the schedule — and while kids have a small Camp at Sea space, there ae no waterslides or other activities beyond a sports court..
