Celebrity Cruises' 2,158-passenger Celebrity Summit is an older, Millennium-class ship, but it has been what the line calls "Solsticized" — updated with features of the line's newer, bigger, Solstice-class ships. On board, you'll find a focus on food and wine, and an impressive modern art collection.
What We Love
Fantastic Buffet: At the Oceanview Café, portions are attractively plated in individual pots, pans, and dishes.
Creative Entertainment: Activities go beyond the norm on this ship. For instance, Sin City Comedy, which combines stand-up comedy and burlesque, is a little raunchy and nothing you've seen at sea before. And while there are trivia contests, games, and other traditional activities, you can also do such unusual things as participate in a flash mob (you "secretly" rehearse first at a meetup spot on the Sports Deck).
Impressive Spa: Now operated by Canyon Ranch, the spa is one of the prettiest you'll find at sea.
Best Known For
Partnership With Bravo's"Top Chef": Passengers can sample recipes from the show, and a lucky few get picked out of a hat to participate in a live "Quickfire Challenge" cooking competition.
Solid Service: Crew members rise to the challenge of providing stellar service all over the ship. Case in point: We told our waiter we were disappointed not to have a choice of olives for our martinis. He asked if we liked blue cheese. We said yes. He had someone replace the pimentos in our olives with blue cheese.

Who It's Best For
Couples: Celebrity markets to all ages and has a kids program, but this sophisticated ship is best for couples ages 40 and older who are looking for romance, food, and wine.
Don't Say We Didn't Warn You
It's Noisy: In an attempt to be hip, the line has a near-constant electronica beat playing in public spaces: the pool, the atrium, and lounges. It can get annoying.
Add-ons Add Up: There are indulgences available — a broad choice of specialty dining options and private, avant-garde nighttime parties among them — but you pay extra for these experiences.
