Windstar Cruises expanded beyond its signature sailing ships when it christened the Star Pride in May 2014. Part of a trio of “power yachts,” this sleek little vessel was built in 1988 as the Seabourn Pride. Today, it’s been elongated — 50 suites and additional public space were added in 2022 as part of Windstar’s $250 million Star Plus initiative — and updated to fit into the Windstar style of casual elegance with a focus on destinations and personal service. Along with its two Star Plus-class siblings, Star Breeze and Star Legend, 312-guest Star Pride offers spacious all-suite accommodations and more restaurant choices than Windstar’s three Wind-class sailing yachts.
