6 Things You Should Never Order on a Cruise Ship

by Aaron Saunders | August 10, 2017

The Food: Steak
The Place:
The Main Dining Room

On the surface, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with ordering steak in the main dining room of a cruise ship. In fact, there’s hardly a ship afloat that doesn’t list some cut of beef on its “Always Available” menu. That said, most ships have their own specialty steakhouse onboard, too. (You know: the one that comes with that hefty upcharge?) In addition to offering better service and a more intimate atmosphere, the food in most specialty restaurants also gets a little bump in quality. So while there’s nothing wrong with a steak in the main dining room, you'll likely get a much better one if you save your red meat fix for the night you head to the steakhouse.
