7 Ways to Save Money on NCL Shipsby Donna Heiderstadt | August 31, 2017
7. Skip the Wi-Fi.
It’s tempting to want to stay connected while at sea, but it comes with a hefty price tag on most ships, including Norwegian’s, which charge $29.99 a day or a minimum of $75 for 100 minutes. Since you’ll be in port most days during your cruise, you’ll be able to find a free Wi-Fi hotspot (ask the crew where they go; some port terminals offer it). You can also ask your mobile carrier if you can buy an international data plan that will work in the countries you’ll visit — just remember to turn data roaming off while at sea.
